Explore the series
The LEAD Experience empowers and equips educators through exposure to professional networks rich in cultural values, agriculture, natural resources, sustainability, education, and development, inspiring them to pursue their calling with excellence.
The week-long LEAD Experience, held in June, takes teachers on a 1,000+ mile journey across Texas, encompassing approximately 15 locations. Visits include headquarters of corporate sponsors as well as educational and workforce sites. During the event, participants have the opportunity to hear from over 50 presenters, including workforce executives, agricultural specialists, legislators, supporters of Texas FFA, Foundation Board Members, and staff from Texas Team Ag Ed.

The two-day educational experience at the State Capitol empowers teachers to better understand and engage with their elected officials in legislative, government, and educational discussions. Becoming better citizens in our democracy.
There is no fee to register, and all expenses are covered to offer a unique leadership experience for our Texas agricultural science teachers and invited guests.

The Student Legislative LEAD program is held in conjunction with the Texas FFA Day at the Capitol event and connects participants to business, policy, organizational, and industry leaders.
Members gain exposure to high-caliber mentors, which is an important step in developing leadership skills. Providing a unique platform to glimpse into the future as leaders in agriculture.
There is no fee to register and lunch is provided free of charge.
